Sentry Gun

A deployable weapon that will automatically attack nearby targets. Sentry Guns have infinite ammunition, will be ignored by enemies, and can be configured to serve different purposes.

In addition to infinite ammo and being invisible to enemy AI, some skill benefits from the base game (Sentry Targeting Package Basic and Aced, providing 100% increased accuracy and 150% increased rotation speed) are now part of this deployable's baseline stats.

Configuring Sentry Guns

Sentry Guns in Total Crackdown have a set of command functions that can be accessed via a radial menu.

To configure a deployed Sentry Gun, approach it and hold the Interact key to open the Radial Menu. Release the Interact while hovering over a setting to activate it.

To configure Sentry Guns in your inventory, hold the Deploy key and press the Reload key to open the Radial Menu, then release the Deploy key to choose your highlighted option.

Sentry Functions

• Basic Ammo excellent damage output, but no special properties.
• AP Ammo good damage output and punches through Body Armor and Shields.
• Taser Ammo deals little damage, but electrocutes enemies.
• Manual Mode causes the Sentry Gun to aim where you do.
• Overwatch Mode Sentry will only target Snipers, but has infinite range and perfect accuracy.
• Retrieve returns the Sentry Gun to your Inventory.

To cancel configuration, release your key while not selecting any menu items.

Design Notes

With basic Sentry Guns being invisible to enemy AI, Suppressed Sentry Guns are superfluous. They are replaced in Total Crackdown with the Friendship Collar.
