Cloaker
"The Cloaker has been one of our favorite initiatives for a long time. I had high hopes for the rollout of the second generation Cloaker in response to the re-emergence of the Payday Gang. Unfortunately, the program attracted loners whose neuroses limited their ability to work with the larger force.
We have seen to the extensive psychological conditioning of the ZEAL cloaker unit. Cloakers will now deploy in groups, or will be embedded with other special unit squads. As before, they also will not hesitate to attack a criminal that is alone, and will attempt to flank and ambush the enemy if other unit members have been eliminated.

Overview
Cloakers are special units that attempt to ambush, charge and instantly incapacitate criminals with martial arts attacks.
Gameplay
Cloakers in the Crackdown mod usually appear in coordinated groups, and may attempt to attack the player from multiple directions at once. On the Crackdown difficulty, Zeal cloakers have enhanced speed and dodge behaviors. They also will kick the last player standing. Unlike in the base game, Cloakers do not have inflated base HP, meaning that sufficient bodyshot damage can take them down.

Tips & Trivia
- Cloakers frequently spawn in large teams on higher difficulties, including between assault waves.
- The underlying code handling Cloaker spawns is affected by maps that assign Cloaker ambush spots. If players tend to congregate near these spots, they will also wind up encountering many more cloakers. This is most noticeable on Go Bank.
- The Zeal Cloaker is pretty much the only enemy unit in Crackdown mod that has not undergone substantial asset revisions.
Design
- Cloakers are a limited threat in the base game for multiple reasons. The Cloaker as revised is intended to be an immediate highest priority threat. To compensate, these units always have their glowing headlamp active.
