Special enemies

As with the base game, Crackdown uses special enemy types which deploy unique attacks when faced in loud combat. Crackdown alters the behavior, statistical attributes and distribution of special enemies to create a more dynamic and reactive playstyle. Specific special enemy changes and details are covered on their respective pages. As a general rule, special enemies in Crackdown gain significant new features on the Crackdown difficulty. In addition, as difficulty levels increase, special enemies are more likely to appear in coordinated, mixed groups that work together to attack the player.

Crackdown currently does not use the following special enemy types found in the base game:

  • U.S. Marshal Sharpshooter
  • U.S. Marshal Shield
  • Captain Winters
  • Phalanx

These enemies, and others, may be reintroduced in a future update to the mod.
